CONVOCATORIA REVISTA ACOTACIONES, JUNIO 2024
Acotaciones: Revista de investigación y creación teatral de la Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático solicita artículos, entrevistas y crónicas escritas en español o inglés para su número 52 que será publicado en junio de 2024. La temática de este volumen es «Teatro y raza en el contexto iberoamericano» y será editado por Jeffrey K. Coleman y Sofía Sánchez de Northwestern University (EEUU).
Acotaciones convoca a estudiosos en el área, dramaturgas y dramaturgos que indaguen por las representaciones del sujeto racializado en el teatro contemporáneo escrito en español. Este volumen se desarrolla en el marco del "Decenio Internacional de los Afrodescendientes", iniciativa de las Naciones Unidas que declara los años comprendidos entre 2015 y 2024 como un periodo crucial para la creación de nuevas narrativas y la producción de reflexiones críticas que problematicen el racismo estructural y la inequidad como herencias del sistema colonial.
La representación de la raza se consolida como un valioso campo de estudio que propone nuevos modelos de performatividad y abre escenarios de visibilización y reivindicación para comunidades y sujetos históricamente excluidos. Esta edición temática reunirá perspectivas que den cuenta de las estrategias del teatro para representar a los sujetos racializados, imaginar las instancias que posibilitan la superación del racismo y responder a los debates actuales en torno a lo racial, su impacto ideológico y simbólico en las sociedades contemporáneas.

Las líneas temáticas incluyen los siguientes campos:

- En una etapa preliminar se aceptarán propuestas de textos en español o inglés que no excedan las 250 palabras.
- En el documento es preciso que incluya su nombre, filiación profesional, tipo de texto y título tentativo.

- Fecha límite para envío de propuestas: 1 de febrero de 2023.
- Respuesta de aceptación de propuestas: 15 de marzo de 2023.

Acotaciones: Revista de investigación y creación teatral, journal of the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático requests articles, interviews, and chronicles written in Spanish or English for Number 52 that will be published June 2024. The theme of this volume will be “Teatro y raza en el contexto iberoamericano” and it will be edited by Jeffrey K. Coleman and Sofía Sánchez from Northwestern University (USA).
Acotaciones invites scholars in the field and playwrights that investigate the representation of the racialized subject in the contemporary theatre written in Spanish. This volume was developed from the framework of the International Decade for People of African Descent, a United Nations initiative that declares the years 2015-2024 as a crucial period for the creation of new narratives and the production of critical reflections that problematize structural racism and the inequities resulting from colonialism.
The representation of race in theatre is an important field of study that proposes new models of performativity and opens spaces of visibility and recognition for communities and subjects that have been historically excluded. This volume will bring together perspectives that shed light on the present strategies that the theatre employs to respond to the debates around race and its ideological and symbolic impact on contemporary societies.
