Resumen del monográfico:
México y España comparten una misma lengua y también un fructífero intercambio a lo largo de la historia en los campos del teatro y las artes escénicas. Desde Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz y Juan Ruiz de Alarcón a Jaime Chabaud, Edgar Chías o los autores y directores emergentes, la variedad de temáticas y la calidad de las obras creadas y programadas en las distintas regiones del país es incuestionable. Este número aspira a ofrecer una panorámica de las voces más jóvenes de la dramaturgia y la puesta en escena mexicana actual. En este sentido se admiten trabajos en cualquiera de los campos científicos de las Humanidades y las Ciencias Sociales: Literatura, Historia, Antropología, Economía, Leyes…
Precisamente con dicho fin, el número se completará con la publicación de varias obras breves de destacadas/os autoras y autores jóvenes.

Monograph on Contemporary Mexican Theatre

Summary of the monograph:
Mexico and Spain share the same language, but also a fruitful historical interchange in the fields of theatre and the scenic arts. From Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Juan Ruiz de Alarcón to Jaime Chabaud, Edgar Chías or the emerging authors and directors, the variety of topics and the quality of the plays forged and programmed in the various regions of the country is unquestionable. This issue aims to provide an overview of the youngest voices of contemporary Mexican playwriting and staging. Accordingly, articles in any of the scientific fields of Humanities and Social Sciences are admitted: Literature, History, Anthropology, Economy, Law…
With this same purpose, the issue will be completed with the publication of various short plays by notable female and male young playwrights.

Deadline for scientific articles (the length of the articles must be between 9000 and 6000 words) and for short plays (the length of the plays must be between 1500 and 6000 words): April 30, 2017.

Acotaciones is inviting papers in English for No. 38. The online publication date is July 31, 2017. Submission Deadline: March 31, 2017.

Acotaciones is a refereed international journal that seeks to publish scholarly work in theater. Contributions are welcome from all fields which have relevant and insightful comments to make about the social sciences and humanities. It has a particular interest in policy-relevant questions and interdisciplinary approaches. It serves as a forum for review, reflection and discussion informed by the results of recent and ongoing research.
The journal is published by the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (The Royal College of Dramatic Arts in Madrid, Spain) that serves as a focal point for academicians, professionals, graduate and undergraduate students, fellows, and associates pursuing research throughout the world.

The interested contributors are highly encouraged to submit their manuscripts/papers to the Executive Editor via http://www.resad.com/Acotaciones/index.php/ACT.

The journal is Indexed in Latindex, DICE y CIRC.
