Resumen
En este artículo intentaremos presentar un esbozo de una visión del teatro documento y de su renacimiento en los años 90 del siglo XX, mirando el caso concreto de la autora austriaca Elfriede Jelinek. El cambio de paradigma del teatro documento actual ya no corresponde a la realidad socio-histórica de los años 60 y 70 del siglo XX. Por ello analizaremos los componentes de un “nuevo teatro documento” haciendo hincapié en la obra Das schweigende Mädchen (La muchacha callada, 2014).
REFLECTIONS ON POSDRAMATIC DOCUMENTARY THEATER: THE CASE OF ELFRIEDE JELINEK
In this article we will attempt to present an outline of documentary theatre and its reappearance in the last decade of the 20th century, by examining the works by the Austrian author Elfriede Jelinek. The change of paradigm in contemporary documentary theatre no longer corresponds to the social-historical reality of the 1960s and 1970s. Hence, we will analyse the components of a “new documentary theatre” focusing on the play Das schweigende Mädchen (The Silent Girl, 2014).
